Position Summary
Gains knowledge and experience required for promotion to professional, management, or sales positions under the direction of experienced personnel.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Receives training and performs duties in several departments such as Operations, Shop, Warehouse, Inside and Outside Sales, Administration, and Business Management.
- Learn line and staff functions, operations, management viewpoints and company policies and practices that affect each phase of business.
- Sets performance goals and objectives with upper management.
- Monitors performance progress with management and key trainers.
- Observes experienced workers to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for performance of departmental duties.
- Receives training in functions and operations of related departments to facilitate subsequent transferability between departments and to provide greater promotional opportunities.
- Obtains necessary industry certifications as identified.
- Assists with branch, regional, and companywide projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong written, verbal, analytical and presentation skills
- Ability to interact effectively and develop effective relationships with a wide range of staff throughout the company.
- Flexibility in work assignments and ability to be a team player.
- Willingness for continuous learning and obtaining necessary certifications and education to move in the company.
Education and Experience
- Business or related undergraduate degree, or significant fluid power industry experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
