Job Description:Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Mathematics or relevant field of study
- CCP or CEP preferred
Work Experiences:
- 4+ years of compensation experience or combination of relevant work experience
- Executive and Equity compensation experience preferred
Skills:
- Experience conducting job evaluations, documenting, and leveling positions
- Experience developing and maintaining job descriptions
- Experience developing, implementing, and administering compensation policies and programs
- Experience analyzing and reviewing pay practices to ensure internal equity
- Experience conducting market research and salary surveys
- General understanding of key laws and processes related to the Human Resources function
- Strong analytical and technical skills, with proven ability to data mine and summarize data from disparate information
- Strong business writing skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, understands and actively manages expectations
- Willingness to jump in and help the team in all areas
- Highly detailed oriented
- Takes the initiative and proactively seeks solutions
- Well-developed ability of prioritization
- Advanced Excel skills - ability to write VBA a plus
- Strong Microsoft office skills, in particular Access, Word, and PowerPoint
- Maintain confidential information
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to interface effectively with individuals at various levels
- Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and analyze salary data and jobs for market and internal competitiveness then consult with business partners to form an action plan balancing business need and company philosophy
- Administer multiple compensation programs
- Review, recommend, approve, and communicate compensation related transactions
- Executes calculations for company short-term incentive plans
- Research and maintain knowledge of state and federal laws regarding compensation activities; ensure Academy's compliance; download the information for the compensation team
- Consult with business partners to create and maintain job descriptions and matrices that align with company structure and business need
- Recommend, review and analyze current and proposed compensation programs, policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance as well as project potential cost
- Create and prepare reports and presentations that support the department and organization
- Create reporting on compensation related metrics
- Proactively drive compensation surveys for his\her area of responsibility
- Execute RFI or RFP process as needed
- Develop a thorough understanding of Academy's policies, procedures and safety rules
- Duties may change; team member may be required to perform other duties as assigned
