About the Role:
Are you seeking a role that enables you to make an impact throughout the entire production process? The Process Technician is accountable for key processes and performance measures of the production area. This position will work closely with hourly workforce, management, production, and maintenance personnel to meet area objectives. The technician will also work with the various support organizations in order to facilitate continuous process improvements.
You will:
- Investigate, diagnose, and correct process issues and out of target process parameters and conditions within the green mill, baking bays and anode rodding/processing area.
- Improve stability and help the hourly workforce to troubleshoot and tackle technical issues accurately.
- Measuring, metering and auditing critical process parameters ensuring all measurements are accurately conducted to guarantee safe, accurate and quality production.
- Oversee the break-down, set-up and start-up of anode bake furnace fire frames/fire cycles.
- Monitor and adjust baking bay thermal ramp rates, process and waste gas management.
- Assist supervisors with shift planning and work schedule.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, product quality and equipment reliability.
- Measure, collect and enter data into the appropriate systems for thorough analysis in conjunction with department process engineering resources.
- Follow schedule and make vital process checks throughout the three major process steps of anode production.
- Ensure that all shifts complete all measurement and sampling.
- Increase compliance of process control throughout the anode production process.
What You Can Bring to the Role:
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Carbon Plant/Anode process knowledge and experience highly preferred.
- Critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with initiative
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to details
- Ability to support off-shift production needs as required
- Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles preferred
- Good digital literacy including use of Microsoft office

Base salary: $63,500 - $87,000 USD annuallyTotal rewards packages listed, including base salary and bonus eligibility, applies to US based applicants only. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on a range of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies in conjunction with multiple components of the Employee Total Rewards Package.
