About the Role

If you are a visionary in technology with a passion for driving digital transformation, then this could be an exciting role for you to play a pivotal part in implementing innovative solutions across Alcoa's global technology landscape!

As our Product Technical Lead, you will work closely with various operational and technical teams to support the development and delivery of operations management solutions. You will be our expert in mapping out the ultimate strategy and product roadmap that will deliver innovative outcomes across our business and will create value by:

  • Leading a technical team of professionals, consisting of both internal employees and external contractors, towards the implementation of innovative solutions for Connected Worker and Contractor Management product lines.

  • Owning the full lifecycle of assigned products from the Product Line ensuring the products are designed and delivered in accordance to Alcoa's security and software development standards.

  • Participating and collaborating in business requirement gathering workshops to provide advice on the art of possibility from technical aspects.

  • Collaborating with Business Product Owner to work on product requirements prioritisation and keeping stakeholders informed on the product health and development progress.

  • Playing an active role in the agile and scrum processes helping the business in prioritising and clearing roadblocks.

  • Pro-actively identifying and working with Technology Platform teams to improve the software development lifecycle processes.

  • Continuously monitoring the risks of the product and ensuring controls are in place to manage, mitigate, and eliminate these risks as appropriate as part of Alcoa's ISO27001 compliance.

What you can bring to the role

  • Tertiary qualifications in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related IT field.

  • Extensive experience in Software Applications, ERP, Web & Mobile Applications or process information applications services within a leading capacity.

  • You will be knowledgeable on bauxite, alumina and aluminium processes and associated functions; and the technologies that support the businesses.

  • Demonstrated expertise in Project Management, Change Management, Applications Development, Resource Planning, Business Analysis, DevOps, and Cloud Integration.

  • A track record in problem solving and delivering targeted solutions with highly developed communication skills and an ability to influence at senior levels.

  • Working knowledge of Operations Management solutions, Equipment Reliability, Materials Management and Reliability Excellence practices.

  • Skilled in defining the strategy and vision, creating a roadmap that will standardise workflows to optimise business systems.

  • Ability to build business acumen and relationships to support the product outcomes.

  • A flexible work approach where night calls may be required to connect and collaborate with global teams on solution initiatives.
