Alcoa has opportunities for enthusiastic, proactive, and experienced All Round Mining Operators at our Huntly Bauxite Mine located south of Perth near North Dandalup. Opportunities include permanent contracts, or become part of our future talent pool.
In accordance with our current WA Operations AWU Enterprise Agreement, the starting salary is $79,382 plus 14% super and shift allowance, working a 36-hour week on a 12-hour days and nights roster.

What can you bring to the role
To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
Experience operating the following equipment: Komatsu PC3000 & PC2000 Large Excavator, Hitachi 2600 Large Excavator, CAT 993 Loader, D10 & D11 Dozer, Komatsu 375 & 475 Dozer, CAT 16,18 & 24 Grader, CAT 637 Scraper and Komatsu 730E & CAT 785, 789 Trucks
3+ relevant industry experience in Mining Operations
Demonstrated commitment to a ‘safety first' culture
Self-motivation to work semi-autonomous in a small dynamic team
Problem solving ability and good initiative
A strong team focus where you support and encourage your crew

About the Location
Huntly is one of our two bauxite mines in Western Australia. Established in 1976 and located east of North Dandalup in WA, it is the world's second largest bauxite mine, supplying ore to Alcoa's Pinjarra alumina refinery. Bauxite ore from Alcoa's Huntly and Willowdale mines helps to produce almost half of Australia's alumina and approximately 19 per cent of Australia's aluminium.
