About the role:

This position is responsible for the day-to-day inventory management, working closely with the site‘s Maintenance team and procurement team. Responsibility extends into safety, adherence to procedures, and continuous improvement activities.

Job duties:

  • Maintain the inventory of the site and ensure accurate placement of materials as well as accurate reporting in our inventory system
  • Keep the warehouse clean and organized per ABS standards
  • Pre-kit to support maintenance materials, truck offload, restocking of the warehouse and alternate stores
  • Look for efficiencies in the process as well as inventory management to reduce unnecessary cost.
  • Support and work with the maintenance, logistics, and procurement team with vendor identification to advance this initiative and reduce complexity
  • Involved in purchase orders, receiving, and security procedures to ensure availability of materials
  • Maintain the kitting/job staging area in accordance with the Reliability Excellence (REX) goals
  • Perform monthly cycle counts
  • Perform daily housekeeping
  • Perform other duties as directed by manager

Education required:

  • High School Diploma

Experience required:

  • Experience in Microsoft Office and Oracle
  • Experience in logistics, warehouse management, procurement, and/or planning

  

Qualifications required:

  • Required to pass a Mobile Equipment Operator physical
  • Must be able to operate a forklift

Experience Preferred:

  • Materials Management
  • Inventory Control
  • Logistics

Communication skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, team members, and contractors.
  • Ability to train others on new and current processes.
