PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Parts Runner position will ensure all parts are picked up and delivered to the appropriate location in a timely manner. This position will answer to the Parts Manager.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Perform daily cycle counts;
  • Must be able to do unsupervised accurate part number research, using parts manuals, schematics and various written material;
  • Able to handle all types of customer parts phone inquiries in a diplomatic, friendly and businesslike manner;
  • Ability to pick, pack, and ship parts in a timely and accurate manner (must be able to lift 50 lbs.)
  • Accurately invoice customers;
  • Manages the purchase order process and complies with all corporate policies and procedures;
  • Maintain customer order records for on time processing, shipping and billing
  • Accurately monitors and acknowledges customer transactions with appropriate documentation;
  • Enters appropriate inventory information into the computer in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Deliver parts as necessary (including to vessels);
  • Code, approve, process and research vendor invoices for payment;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Strong knowledge of safety;
  • Serves as a role model, reinforcing the customer focus, values and expectations through personal commitment and involvement;
  • Fosters flexibility and rapid response to changing opportunities and requirements;
  • Works towards continuous improvement; and
  • All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent education;
  • Should be computer literate familiar with  Microsoft software;
  • Energetic and customer driven;
  • Good organizational skills;
  • Previous parts experience required;
  • Effective verbal and written communications, with ability to enter data on a computer terminal; 
  • Courteous customer communication skills;
  • Excellent people skills are essential;
  • Consistently exhibits satisfactorily levels of performance;
  • Must have the ability to work effectively in a high pressure, multi-tasking environment, drive projects forward and meet or exceed goals;
  • Professional ethics, tact, and courtesy in dealing with management, team members, vendors and internal and external customers; and
  • All other duties as assigned.
