AI Applications Developer

THE ROLE: 

AMD is looking for an experienced AI Applications development engineer who is passionate about building innovative and impactful AI-based applications. You will be a member of a World-wide team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest software technology.  

THE PERSON: 

The ideal candidate should be passionate about AI applications development and possess leadership skills to deliver innovative projects on time. A self-driven technologist who is able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD. Someone who will constantly improve through personal development and a genuine curiosity for the latest AI technologies, techniques and compute.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Work as part of a distributed team of high-performing AI application developers
• Drive efficiency through the promotion of AI adoption in every part of the AMD organisation
• Apply a data minded approach to target optimization efforts 
• Stay informed of AI software and hardware trends and innovations, especially pertaining to generative AI 
• Take ownership for the design and delivery of AI applications for internal AMD teams
• Influence the operational direction of the team by providing technical input on development, delivery and support of applications and application changes

• Debugging/fix existing issues and research alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish the same work 
• Develop technical relationships with peers and partners 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Strong Python development experience

• Proven track record of interacting with customers and delivering on requirements
• Ability to write high quality code with a keen attention to detail 
• Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins or GitHub actions
• Knowledge of compute platforms such as Kubernetes
• Knowledge of generative AI concepts such as RAG, Multi-Agent Systems, Model Context Protocol
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent
