THE ROLE:
AMD is looking for a senior software engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor, you will be part of a leading team to drive and enhance AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market.

The ideal candidate possesses an innovative and problem-solving mindset, has a keen eye for Software engineering development, and is diligent and passionate about Technology. A successful candidate will need to employ strong knowledge in computer technologies, leadership skills in technical areas, and SW engineering expertise as well as a strong ability to compete effectively in a fast-paced, relevant environment while working with different teams of engineers and collaborators.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Model Development & Training
- Implement, fine-tune, and train deep learning models using frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or ONNX.
- Automate model training and evaluation pipelines for reproducibility and scalability.
- Model Optimization
- Apply quantization, pruning, and graph optimization techniques for efficient inference.
- Analyze and optimize model performance using profiling tools and hardware metrics.
- Performance Benchmarking
- Develop and maintain benchmarking suites for model and hardware performance comparison across platforms (GPU, NPU, CPU, etc.).
- Generate and analyze performance reports to guide optimization strategies.
- Deployment & Integration
- Package and deploy AI models into end-to-end applications or SDKs.
- Integrate AI inference pipelines into production systems, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Tooling & Workflow Automation
- Design and develop internal tools or frameworks to streamline AI training, optimization, and deployment workflows.
- Contribute to pipelines and reproducible experiment tracking.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with heterogeneous computing (CUDA, ROCm, NPU SDKs, etc.).
- Familiarity with model deployment frameworks (e.g., ONNX, TensorRT, OpenVINO)
- Experience in building benchmarking or automation tools for AI workflows
- Understanding of containerization and distributed training (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Contribution to open-source AI or ML infrastructure projects is a plus.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, AI/ML, or a related field.
