THE ROLE:  

We are looking for a system design engineer focus on notebook board design and SI simulation. This role engineer will be part of a highly technical team that develops hardware design, executes bring-up  & debugs electrical issues in the memory sub-system of system.

 

THE PERSON:  

The person needs to be well self-motivated for deliveries and innovation, strong technical background on DDR interface, also with good communication skills.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Perform PCB layout using Cadence Allegro, following SI constraints, and stackup requirements
  • Run SI simulations using tools such as S2Eye, Sigrity, ADS or others.
  • Interpret SI reports and translate them into actionable board design recommendations
  • Participate in schematic/layout reviews and provide feedback to ensure high speed interface robustness.
  • Collaborate with system architects, hardware designers, and validation engineers to optimize overall board performance.
  • Understanding of DDR memory routing rules (DQ/DQS timing, skew, length matching).
  • Ability to review memory layout (topology, layer assignment, impedance) and evaluate interface compliance through simulation.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  

  • Solid relevant and hands-on experience with high speed PCB layout (impedance control, HDI, differential routing).
  • Experience running SI simulations using at least one industry tool
  • Knowledge of high-speed interfaces (DDR, PCIe, USB, DisplayPort, HDMI).
  • Experience working with ODMs of x86 Notebook or Desktop hardware design.
  • Familiarity with PDN/PI/SI simulation.
  • Good English communication skills

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:  

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
