THE ROLE:
We are seeking an experienced Board Design & Field Systems Engineer to support new product development, combining deep-board design expertise with system bring-up and field deployment responsibilities.
THE PERSON:
This role acts as a bridge between hardware design, validation, and field engineering, requiring strong end-to-end system knowledge and hands-on debug experience. The candidate will drive platform bring-up, rapid issue resolution, and customer enablement, while contributing to board design and system development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead board design and development for high-performance FPGA/ASIC platforms, including schematic design, component selection, and system architecture.
- Collaborate on PCB layout, SI/PI optimization, and design reviews to ensure robust and manufacturable solutions.
- Own hardware bring-up, system stabilization, and complex debugging, including power, SI/PI, and firmware-hardware interactions.
- Support DVT execution and perform root-cause analysis for system-level issues.
- Act as technical liaison for field deployments, supporting system integration, customer issues, and real-world debug scenarios.
- Provide cross-stack troubleshooting across hardware, firmware, and system software.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to drive integration, issue resolution, and manufacturing readiness."
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Strong experience in high-speed board/system design.
- Strong expertise in:
- DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, Ethernet, high-speed interfaces
- Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI)
- FPGA-based platforms and system integration
- Hands-on experience with board bring-up and debugging complex hardware issues.
- Proficiency in EDA tools (Cadence Allegro / OrCAD ).
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and technical leadership skills.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
