THE ROLE:

The Consumer Marketing Manager Latin America reports to the Latin America Marketing Director and is responsible for designing, executing, and optimizing 360° marketing strategies that accelerate AMD's consumer processor leadership across key LATAM markets. This role drives digital demand generation, retail traffic, in-store activation, and online/offline product presence with OEM and Retail partners, driving consistent weekly sell-out growth and increased AMD awareness and preference.

The ideal candidate is a leader who thrives in high-growth environments and knows how to turn data, insight, and creativity into relevant business impact. A strategic operator with sharp commercial instincts, exceptional stakeholder influence, and a proven ability to elevate brands in highly competitive consumer-electronics markets across LATAM. He/she should have a willingness and ability to jump in, take the lead, learn, and inspire others, will lead a team of experienced marketers in the region and work as a business partner with AMD Sales and Corporate Teams

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive marketing calendar providing regular updates to all stakeholders
  • Design and implement processes to monitor and control resources, Marketing budget, risks, and quality
  • Drive brand preference with our customers across products, markets, and geographies.
  • Lead the end-of-end marketing planning from vision to strategies and initiatives that drive business results via breakthrough thought leadership and activation.
  • Translate business goals and brand objectives into a customer-focused marketing strategy.
  • Own and manage the budget and allocation for partner MDF programs
  • Build relationships with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, digital teams, regional sales and marketing teams and OEM marketing teams (account-based).
  • Support distribution channels to promote more effectively market and position products and services
  • Use data-driven information to develop marketing strategies.
  • Take a proactive and positive approach to seeking ways to improve all aspects of our marketing activities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a multicultural team of marketing specialists and promoters across the region.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Professional experience in semiconductor, consumer electronics, or high-tech marketing, either corporate or agency side, with proven impact in competitive, fast-paced markets.
  • Hands-on experience in B2B2C marketing, including demand generation, sales enablement, and 360° campaign execution across digital, retail, and trade environments.
  • Proven digital marketing expertise, including performance marketing, organic social, paid media optimization, audience segmentation, and data-driven decision making.
  • Demonstrated success in retail activation and trade-marketing programs, driving awareness, traffic, and weekly sell-out across multiple countries.
  • Strong analytical and data-literacy skills, with ability to interpret insights, forecast performance, and optimize investments in real time.
  • Skilled in project-management collaborating with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders across countries and time zones; strong problem-solving, prioritization, and attention to detail and operational excellence.
  • Familiarity with key consumer segments—gamers, creators, students, and professionals—and experience adapting messaging or GTM strategies for each.
  • Proven experience negotiating and executing marketing programs with OEMs and key Retail
  • Demonstrated initiative, drive, and ownership, with a bias for action and the ability to operate with minimal oversight.
  • Leadership experience managing multicultural, high-performing teams, agencies, or promoter networks is a strong advantage.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel; experience with marketing analytics tools and dashboards is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills; fluent Spanish and business-proficient English. Portuguese is a plus.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

MBA preferred
