THE ROLE:

The Channel Marketing Manager reports to the APJ and India Regional Channel Marketing Lead and is responsible for planning and activating strategic marketing and channel programs for AMD's resellers and Distribution Partners.  The Channel Marketing Manager is also responsible for maintaining open communication lines between AMD Global Marketing, AMD Global OEM Marketing and AMD Regional Marketing teams in support of driving successful growth in server branded and server component devices.

 

THE PERSON:

We are seeking a driven and experienced Channel Marketing Manager to lead and execute strategic channel marketing initiatives across APJ markets, focusing on partner-led demand generation, partner enablement, and programmatic engagement with VARs, SIs, OEM partners, and distributors.

 

This role plays a critical bridge between AMD's marketing strategy and the execution capabilities of our external partner ecosystem. The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of OEM/distributor dynamics, experience managing co-marketing activities, and a proactive mindset to drive impact across diverse countries like Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia.

 

This position is responsible for supporting both the commercial client and server segments, driving go-to-market initiatives across AMD's core product offerings. The role requires strategic engagement across a wide spectrum of channel partners to accelerate market presence, competitive win-rates, and pipeline growth in these two business areas.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partner Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute regional channel marketing plans aligned with APJ business objectives and partner account strategies.
  • Own end-to-end campaign planning with distributors, OEMs, VARs, and system integrators (SIs) – including demand generation, product positioning, and market activation.
  • Tailor marketing programs to match local partner needs and maturity across commercial client and server segments.

 

Channel Enablement & Content Localization

  • Work alongside the Channel Enablement team to develop tailored sales tools, partner playbooks, and training material.
  • Lead content localization efforts for campaign toolkits, product messaging, and value propositions.
  • Champion consistent brand representation through partners across key initiatives.

 

MDF & Co-Marketing Management

  • Collaborate with Partner Account Managers and Channel Sales to manage MDF planning, usage, and reporting.
  • Ensure high ROI through structured program tracking and performance optimization.
  • Provide strategic guidance to partners on effective co-marketing planning and execution.

 

Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Act as the marketing point of contact for Partner Sales, Channel Enablement, Product Marketing, and Distributors.
  • Partner with HQ and local teams to align messaging, launches, and joint GTM programs.
  • Participate in partner business reviews, providing marketing impact data and recommendations.

 

Data-Driven Reporting & Insights

  • Track KPIs across all campaigns, including leads, pipeline influence, partner engagement rates, and content performance.
  • Analyze market feedback and partner input to optimize future programs.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, preferably in channel or partner marketing within the technology, semiconductor, or OEM/distribution industries.
  • Proven ability to work across complex ecosystems: OEMs, regional distributors, SIs, and VARs.
  • Demonstrated success in leading multi-market marketing programs across APJ.
  • Strong stakeholder management, especially in matrixed organizations involving regional sales and global marketing teams.
  • Familiarity with MDF platforms, Salesforce, PRM systems, and marketing automation tools (e.g., Marketo, Eloqua).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to internal and partner audiences.
  • Background working with OEMs or distributors (e.g., Dell, HP, ASUS, Ingram Micro, Synnex, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of both commercial client and server solutions is a strong advantage.
  • Exposure to channel partner tiering frameworks, lifecycle marketing journeys, channel marketing models is desirable.
  • Experience supporting product launches or technology rollouts through channel partner ecosystems.
  • Strategic thinking with strong execution discipline.
  • Ability to translate global strategy into executable local campaigns.
  • Ability to build and deepen relationships with partner marketing teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen and passion for helping partners grow.
  • Agility to manage across varying maturity levels of partners and markets.
  • Data-driven mindset and ability to show marketing impact on pipeline
