The Role:

We are looking for our next team member to drive the consumption and sell-through of AMD EPYC based VMs in the cloud. This “Sales Out” position will focus on building relationships with strategic accounts looking to optimize their cloud infrastructure to AMD powered Instances. The Cloud Sales Strategic Account Manager will act as a conduit for AMD to assigned strategic accounts and partner with our CSP GAM team to drive and win new cloud opportunities.  You'll collaborate with top-tier IT and product professionals including C-suite, cloud decisions makers, and IT/engineering leaders.

This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Global Strategic Accounts.

 

The Person:

  • Experience building executive relationships with the largest cloud adopting accounts.
  • An understanding of the data-center solutions and knowledge of sales cycle and motion for customers choosing cloud solutions
  • Proven skill of demonstrating data into your decision-making process for investments and communicating progress and updates on the state of the business
  • Strong organization, presentation (both virtual and in-person), communication, and account management skills
  • Ability to travel and be customer facing up to 30%.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing key relationships with strategic accounts at all levels
  • Building and maintaining a cloud consumption pipeline for AMD Instances with various CSPs
  • Account mapping and development to understand the cloud strategy for accounts.
  • The ultimate goal is to demonstrate an increased footprint in AMD share in the commercial market for Cloud.
  • Travel to events and meetings as needed to support your accounts.
  Preferred Experience:
  • Proven sales record in the tech industry, building sales strategies, and managing large accounts.
  • Working experience with/for a major Cloud Solution Provider (GCP, AWS, Azure, Oracle)
  Academic Credentials:

University or four-year college degree in Business or equivalent experience
