Custom Digital Design Engineer
THE ROLE:
The focus of this role is to design and implement the high-speed custom digital circuit for FPGA fabric interconnect along with guiding the layout teams for physical implementation and fullchip integration.
THE PERSON:
You have a passion for modern, high speed custom digital circuit design in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/timezones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems.
Key Responsibilities We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Custom digital design Engineer to join our innovative team. Your contributions will drive advancements in cutting-edge interconnect design for FPGA's.
- Design and develop custom CMOS digital circuits tailored to project-specific requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including architects, integration, and software engineers—to translate interconnect requirements into optimal digital design solutions for FPGA interconnect.
- Perform simulation, modeling, and analysis to ensure compliance with performance and reliability specifications.
- Proficient in EMIR, timing and reliability analysis
- Generate comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports, validation results, and test summaries.
- Support validation and debugging of FPGA interconnect circuits during development and post-silicon phases.
- Drive continuous improvement of design methodologies, tools, and workflows.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and share best practices from industry experience.
- Scripting knowledge in python/perl are an added advantage.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in custom analog/digital circuit design and integration, preferably in commercial or industrial applications.
- Proficiency in circuit simulation tools such as SPICE, Cadence, or equivalent EDA platforms.
- Proven track record of working in interdisciplinary teams and delivering high-impact solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
