THE ROLE: 

We are in search of an experienced technical program manager with strong analytical, problem-solving and risk management skills. Ability to work efficiently and manage effective relationships in a cross-functional organization to meet commitments for board design and board build aspects of next generation Data Center program. Must be self-directed and work in complex and dynamic ecosystems. 

 

THE PERSON: 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development of products from Concept through Customer Ship, working with large, matrixed teams to plan and execute board level deliverables. This role requires blending your strategic and tactical experience to produce high-quality solutions, within time and budget.  It is a hands-on and dynamic role which encompasses all areas of graphics board solution development.  The role requires proactive and frequent engagement with cross-functional teams to ensure that engineering teams are enabled for successful planning, design, development and validation of board-level data center graphics solutions.  You are energized by working in a fast-paced technical organization across multiple sites, with multifaceted product requirements

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Drive efficient program planning & execution through active leadership, clear communication, and effective organization skills.
  • Provide frequent & concise updates to Program and Executive teams on plans, status, and risk mitigation.
  • Proactively drive plans to mitigate delays, and follow through with the internal platform teams
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define teams' dependencies & deliverables.
  • Coordinate 3rd parties & contract manufacturers to align material supply and prototype deliveries for board sample deliveries in line with committed schedules
  • Unify cross-business unit product requirements into a cohesive and achievable engineering delivery plan
  • Management and alignment of design deliverables into corporate phase gate review process
  • Proven capability of leading concurrent programs in a metric-driven environment and demonstrated ability to deliver
  • Excellent problem structuring and problem-solving skills
  • Able to manage a high degree of complexity 
  • Strong attention to detail with a high sense of urgency
  • Coordinate on-time delivery of all engineering project deliverables into customer development projects
  • The successful candidate must also plan for risks in the development path, identify prevention methods, and address them to save on engineering costs.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • PM experience working on product development in the computing industry, at the OEM, ODM, or technology provider level
  • Experience with hardware development, from platform level architecture, design and execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in interacting with and directing international teams in a technology environment
  • Proven experience in rapid product prototyping and high-mix, fast-turn product development from design to mass production
  • Demonstrated project and program management leadership success
  • Experience leading and managing multiple complex projects at a given time with successful results
  • Detailed oriented, self-driven with a strong sense of pride and ownership. 
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively as a self-starter and as part of a team 
  • Proactively involve team members in planning, decision-making and execution efforts 
  • People management experience is desirable 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to handle all levels of interaction, including executive level 
  • Horizontal leadership/Matrix management experience 
  • Technical program management and customer relationship management 
  • Collaborate in problem solving and mitigating risks with Engineering, Program/Project Management, Business Units and Product Management - both internal and external 
  • Strong knowledge of productivity and project tools including Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite 

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering 
  • Formal project management education, PMP / Scrum Master
