THE ROLE:
AMD's Server Business Unit is driving the future of enterprise, cloud, and AI computing with our industry-leading EPYC processors. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of EPYC Product Management & Marketing to lead the development and execution of comprehensive product and marketing strategies for our EPYC server portfolio. This role will manage a team to drive market share growth, continue to establish AMD as the premier server processor provider, and shape the future of enterprise, cloud, and AI computing.
THE PERSON:
This person should have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others. Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Experience with the Enterprise, Cloud, and AI markets. Experience in the semiconductor industry is highly desired.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Product Strategy & NPI:
- Develop and own the product strategy and roadmap for AMD EPYC processors, aligning with market trends, competitive analysis, and customer needs.
- Define positioning, collaborating with engineering, sales, and other cross-functional teams.
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities and anticipate future market demands.
- Drive the product lifecycle management, from new product introduction to end-of-life, ensuring successful product launches and ongoing support.
- Product Marketing & Go-to-Market:
- Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, messaging, and launch plans.
- Create compelling marketing content, including presentations, white papers, case studies, and web content.
- Lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, events, and public relations.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key industry analysts, influencers, and customers.
- Manage and optimize marketing budgets and resources.
- Competitive Analysis & Market Intelligence:
- Support competitive analysis, monitoring competitor activities and identifying key differentiators for AMD EPYC products.
- Provide market intelligence and insights to update product strategy and marketing initiatives.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the server market, including key trends, customer segments, and competitive landscape.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a team of product managers and marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of product and marketing strategies.
- Represent AMD at industry events and customer meetings, building strong relationships and promoting the EPYC brand.
- Business Performance & Reporting:
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of product and marketing initiatives.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on product performance, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Develop and manage product pricing and profitability strategies.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- 15+ years of experience in product management and/or marketing, with a focus on server processors or related technologies.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful product and marketing strategies.
- Deep understanding of server architectures, technologies, and market dynamics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.

At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position. You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
