Our mission is to design and market exceptional products—anchored by our Instinct™ GPU portfolio—that power the next generation of computing in enterprise data centers, cloud, and supercomputing environments. If you're excited by AI disruption and want to be part of building something big, join us.
THE ROLE:
Lead rack systems planning across internal stakeholders; key component vendors and ODM partners. You will drive demand and supply alignment for rack programs, orchestrate cross-BU and engineering collaboration on rack-scale critical BOM components, build trusted relationships with ODM partners, and support development and execution of partner contractual agreements that translate plans into reliable delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demand & supply alignment with rack partners
- Own the integrated planning view for rack systems across all rack partners: demand signals, build/ship plans, constraints, and risks.
- Establish a repeatable operating cadence (forecasts, allocation discussions, change control, escalation) so partner plans stay aligned with BU priorities and customer commitments.
- Translate partner and program status into clear leadership visibility (green/yellow/red, decisions required)
Rack-scale critical BOM — cross-BU and engineering collaboration
- Drive cross-functional and cross-BU collaboration to identify, prioritize, and manage rack-scale critical BOM items (e.g., mechanical/electrical integration points, cable/cartridge-class dependencies, CPU/NIC adjacencies, and other shared commodities as defined by the program).
- Ensure one coherent plan across engineering, platform teams, and supply partners: ownership, timelines, alternates, and risk mitigations.
- Partner with supply chain / operations counterparts to connect technical choices to buildable, shippable outcomes.
ODM partner relationships
- Build and sustain strong, executive-trust relationships with ODM partners (e.g., planning leads, program management, operations).
- Represent the BU as a credible planning counterpart: prepared, consistent, and focused on predictable execution.
Partner agreements — development and execution
- Partner with Business Development, Legal, and Finance as needed to shape contractual frameworks that reflect planning realities (capacity, flexibility, milestones, liability/guardrails as applicable).
- Support negotiation inputs (assumptions, scenarios, operational terms) and drive post-signature execution discipline: what gets tracked, how variances are managed, and how disputes are escalated.
- Ensure contract intent shows up in weekly/monthly operating mechanisms, not only in documents.
Leadership & enablement
- Define metrics, dashboards, and review forums appropriate for rack planning maturity.
- Mentor and develop direct or matrix partners; scale the model as headcount allows.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience); advanced degree a plus.
- Deep experience in hardware program management, supply planning, ODM/JDM engagement, or data center / server platform operations.
- Demonstrated success aligning demand and supply across external manufacturing partners in complex, multi-SKU environments.
- Proven ability to drive cross-organizational execution (engineering + operations + business stakeholders) on technical dependencies and delivery commitments.
- Experience contributing to commercial agreements (SOWs, supply agreements, statement of work changes, operational exhibits)—partnership with Legal/BD expected; you are not required to be an attorney.
- Excellent communication, negotiation support, and executive storytelling.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Direct experience with rack-scale GPU/AI infrastructure, hyperscale deployment models, or accelerated computing platforms.
- Familiarity with NPI ramp, commodity constraints, and configuration management across partner builds.
- Prior people leadership or sustained matrix leadership across multiple partners and internal teams.
LOCATION:
San Jose, CA preferred but open to remote for the right candidate
