THE ROLE:

To provide technical assistance and resolution when engineering problems are encountered before, during, and after, new product/equipment introduction and deployment. Through collaboration with internal and external developer/OEM, identify, define, and resolve developmental problems affecting test results, operational effectiveness, and cost.

THE PERSON:

The candidate should be self-motivated and have good communication skills.  The person is also preferred to be a team player working with the team to deliver results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support equipment installation, equipment conversion and commissioning, and troubleshooting equipment test issues.
• Perform repair, troubleshooting of equipment to minimize downtime.
• Provide technical support and resolution for engineering problems encountered.
• Collaborate with vendor/cross-functional team to identify, define, and solve developmental problems.
• Identify equipment failures, pareto of issues and support/initiate engineering solutions in improving overall equipment effectiveness.
• Establish and/or maintain test equipment documentation for ISO/quality requirement.
• Provide equipment training to lab engineering users and improve lab technician skillset.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Good knowledge of IC technologies and understanding of semiconductor testing.
• Experience in Advantest Testers (or equivalent), Cohu Handlers and Hontech Handlers will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical & problem solving skills.
• Motivated individuals and willing to lead.
• Good inter-personal and communication skills.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical /Electronics/ Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with preferred >1 relevant year of experience. Fresh Grads with industry related experience are welcome to apply. Or
• Diploma in any engineering discipline with preferred >4yrs relevant experience
