THE ROLE:
The FAE position will work with AMD account managers closely to penetrate the enterprise market quickly. Specifically, this role will provide technical support to enterprise customers, server OEM/ODM and ISV partners of AMD that build their solutions on AMD EPYC based servers to solve technical and product issues on customers' workloads or applications via e-mail, phone and often on site with some travel required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to take ownership of technical and product issues and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.
- Pitching and demonstrating EPYC and Instinct for HPC and Enterprise. Proof of Concepts demonstrating EPYC and Instinct performance and using different toolchains, environments, the same with Ryzen based solutions.
- Excellent organizing and time management skills that enable effective multitasking in rapidly changing environments and dealing with geographically distributed teams.
- Proactive, self-directed, and highly disciplined to operate autonomously in the corresponding expertise domain and a team player that can work with different functional units to meet the customers' needs and achieve commercial targets.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES:
- 5+ years of previous technical experience is required.
- Working experience on AMD or Intel x86 platforms.
- Server and Client performance benchmark, optimization/tuning and debugging experience. on x86 platforms is required.
- Familiar with Windows, Linux at kernel or driver level with extensive hands-on experience.
- Experience of the server software ecosystem in one or more areas including OS/Hypervisors, AI/ML Frameworks, Compilers, Libraries, debug and development tools.
- Familiar with a variety of technologies such as virtualisation vSphere, Nutanix, Openstack and other KVM/Qemu environments, Containers (Docker, Kubernetes), DPDK, SDPK, NoSQL databases, etc.
- Telco, Commercial AI, HPC experience and Datacenter GPU knowledge are a big plus.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- The preferred candidate should have a combination of relevant academic and professional experience.
- The minimum qualifications associated with this position are Engineering or Computer Science Degree with 3+ years of preferred experience.
