THE ROLE:
We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our Global Operations Finance team. This role will focus on providing financial analysis, reporting, and decision support for AMD's global manufacturing and supply chain operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and enhance financial models used for quarterly, annual, and long-range planning for Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and capital expenditures (CapEx).
- Support intra-quarter forecast and outlook processes to ensure timely and accurate updates.
- Perform detailed expense variance analysis of actual results versus forecast and provide actionable recommendations for cost control.
- Efficiently deliver ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects as requested.
- Compile inventory reconciliations and ensure accuracy of related financial data.
- Execute month-end close activities, including expense reviews, accruals, reclassifications, and preparation of supporting schedules.
- Ensure compliance with AMD's financial policies and internal controls.
- Help drive executive presentations by preparing financial inputs and insights for decision-making.
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and procurement teams to provide financial guidance and support strategic initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency through automation and best practices.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in manufacturing or operations finance.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and financial planning tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Snowflake) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, global environment
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or equivalent.
