JOB DETAILS:

• Location: Penang, Malaysia
• Onsite: This role requires the student to work full time (40 hours a week) onsite throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term.
• Duration: 6 months

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

We are seeking highly motivated Accounting intern/co-op to join our team. In this role –

• Review and approve marketing customer claims supported by appropriate and sufficient supporting documents                             
• Ensure compliances with SOX requirements related to marketing expense claims                                                    
• Make critical decisions or judgments based on reasonableness to accommodate business specifications                                
• Explain or provide justifications on areas of uncertainty during claim review                    
• Manage operational control processes and ensure that controls are in compliance with prevailing guidelines and standards

• Good Business partnering skills and effective communication skills in both written and spoken English    
• Detail orientated with strong analytical & problem solving skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment                             
• Strong business acumen on business activities with the strong leadership and with an action oriented mindset       
• Self-starter with a positive attitude to proactively solve problems with integrity                              
• Ability to read and communicate in Mandarin and other languages will be an added advantage
