THE ROLE:

As the Legal Operations Analyst, you will be a key contributor to the Legal Department's operational excellence, with a focus on knowledge management and project management. You will lead initiatives that improve how legal knowledge is captured, organized, and shared across the organization, while also supporting cross-functional projects that enhance legal processes, systems, and collaboration. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of legal operations, project management, and change management.

THE PERSON:

You are a strong communicator who is proactive and enjoys building programs and project managing complex projects. You're comfortable working with legal professionals and you bring a structured approach to managing projects and programs. You have a passion for continuous improvement and a knack for organizing complex information in a way that's intuitive and accessible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Design, implement, and manage the Legal Department's knowledge management strategy and tools

  • Develop and maintain centralized repositories for legal templates, playbooks, policies, and FAQs

  • Partner with subject matter experts to capture and curate institutional legal knowledge

  • Manage Legal Intranet site and update materials alongside Legal teams

  • Lead or support legal operations projects, including process improvements, system implementations, and change initiatives

  • Assist with AI-related initiatives and projects across the legal department" after "create and manage project plans
  • Create and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables for legal operations initiatives

  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and outcomes to legal leadership

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between Legal, IT, Finance, and other departments

  • Support training and onboarding programs related to knowledge management and legal operations

  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline legal workflows

  • Maintain documentation and metrics to track program effectiveness and adoption


REQUIRED SKILLS:
 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with legal processes, terminology, and document management practices
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft suite (SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Lists, Power Automate, Outlook, etc.)


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
 

  • Experience in legal operations, project management, or knowledge management
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification is a plus
  • Experience with project management tools and DMS tools
  • Experience working in a corporate legal department or law firm is preferred


ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent level of experience
