THE ROLE:

We are looking for our next team member, reporting directly to the Lenovo Worldwide Global Account Client Sales Lead within the AMD Global Lenovo GAM Team to create, manage and execute our global GTM Commercial and SMB PC strategy jointly with our customer. Owning Commercial and SMB 4P strategy efforts worldwide. Partnering with Lenovo to align on GTM strategies to increase market share and revenue. Identifying market opportunities, managing and deploying joint sales & marketing programs at a global level with Lenovo, and ensuring coordinated execution between the AMD Regional Sales, Business Unit, Marketing and Finance teams.

Business, industry and sales acumen within the Commercial and Channel / SMB Sales space is critical; familiarity with the dynamics of a sales environment and culture is imperative.

  • Strategic Approach: Leadership across the Commercial Client PC space, where you'll be looked internally and externally as the SME for programs and GTM strategy. Having a pulse on the market, a deep understanding of the sales cycle/processes and a proven track record of structuring and conducting analyses to generate insight and recommendations to increase sales/market share, all while managing multiple targeted Commercial Enterprise and small business programs both within and AMD and Lenovo.
  • Follow Through: The ability to power through daily challenges to execute and finish the job.
  • Execution: This is a fast-paced role that requires quick action, constant communication, and never-ending drive for improvement.
  • Communication: Outstanding interpersonal skills; able to connect with a wide range of audiences, including executives and customers.
  • Program & Budget Management: Proven success leading all aspects of large sales & marketing programs, including the associated budget

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage GTM strategy and execution in the Commercial and SMB space to grow AMD's volume with Lenovo through a combination of product, sales, and marketing improvements.
  • Create the joint business planning framework with Lenovo to build business goals, align on go-to-market activities & investments, and track measurement of critical metrics.
  • Execute sales strategies for targeted growth in the Commercial and SMB PC Market, through collaboration with Lenovo and AMD cross functional teams
  • Oversee and track Commercial and SMB GTM sales programs and budgeted investment dollars.
  • Strike the balance between influencing the desired behaviors across the customer and sales team, while enforcing governance and good disciplines when required.
  • Collaboration on SMB events AMD will participate in (few times per year)

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE: Proven relative experience in the semiconductor industry
  • PAST ROLES: Sales Strategy & GTM Strategy supporting global sales teams (and/or Sales Support, Sales, etc.)
  • PRODUCT EXPERIENCE: PC client and/or server/datacenter
  • CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE: Commercial Partner (OEMs)

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

BS/MS degree in Business; MBA or equivalent working experience is a plus

Raleigh, NC (preferred)

Austin, Texas (2nd preference)

Home Office, ideally with direct flight and easy access to Raleigh, NC
