THE ROLE: 

 

The right engineer will drive adoption of AI‑assisted automation to improve engineering productivity across development, testing, and design workflows. This role is hands‑on and execution‑focused, working closely with software, validation, and infrastructure teams to apply AI tools that reduce manual effort, accelerate iteration, and improve overall output. This is a highly collaborative role spanning multiple engineering disciplines and global teams, with responsibility for identifying automation opportunities, implementing practical AI‑enabled solutions, and helping scale proven workflows into regular engineering practice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Partner with engineering teams to apply AI‑assisted tools and automation across development, testing, and design workflows to improve efficiency and output. 
  • Work hands‑on with software, validation, and infrastructure teams to identify repetitive or manual engineering tasks and prototype AI‑enabled automation solutions that reduce or eliminate processes or workflows.
  • Use modern AI development tools (e.g., AI coding assistants, agent‑based workflows, automated analysis tools) to support activities such as code development, refactoring, test creation, debugging, and documentation. 
  • Work across engineering teams and subject areas spanning silicon, firmware, hardware, and software.
  • Coordinate debug of issues and drive them to closure.
  • Pull together meetings, set up clear agendas and follow up on action items.
  • Deliver regular progress updates toward program goals.
  • Make tough decisions such as priority calls based on partial or incomplete data.
  • Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • 5+ years in product development or systems engineering with hardware platforms and their software & firmware.
  • Experience with AI‑based coding assistants or automation tools used for code generation, refactoring, debugging, or test creation. TOOLS: GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude / Claude Code 
  • Experience with end‑to‑end software flows, including development, integration, and testing.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD systems, automated testing frameworks, or developer productivity tooling.
  • Understanding of machine learning concepts and how large language models are applied to engineering workflows.
  • Experience working in Linux and/or Windows development environments.
  • Excellent verbal communication and written, presentation skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, planning, and technical leadership skills 
  • Proven record of accomplishment in delivering large multi-functional product solutions 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced matrixed technical organization and multi-site environment  
  • Product or program management 

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
