THE ROLE:
We are seeking a systemic & results-oriented Security Architect to join our best-in-class Compute and Enterprise AI Product and System architecture team. This is a rare opportunity to be part of the future of hardware security for the industry's most advanced data center CPUs/GPU products. In this role, you'll go beyond the surface, digging deep into architecture, firmware, and hardware layers to understand and secure every aspect of the system. Your ability to connect low-level mechanisms with high-level security goals will be crucial in developing and assessing new features and improving existing protections. A dogged, investigative mindset, ability to foresee subtle issues, customer perspective, and an uncompromising attitude toward delivering the end goal will differentiate you from others.
You will collaborate with SoC architects, security analysis teams, and internal stakeholders to design and characterize system level solutions. You'll engage in technical analysis, define comprehensive security use cases, and leverage a broad spectrum of technologies to drive secure server system solutions across silicon, platform hardware/software, and user applications, aiming to deliver exceptional customer experiences
THE PERSON:
Expert knowledge of broad spectrum of security technologies like secure boot, attestation, confidential computing, trusted execution environment (TEE) architecture, security protocols(SPDM, TCG, DICE, TDISP, etc.) , I/O security, CPU execution environment to mitigate against logical and physical threats. As a System Security Architect, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop secure system architectures and technology enablement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define pragmatic and usable security architecture-based threat modelling & risk assessment for the technologies mentioned above.
- Design and architect new security protocols and flows, tailored to the specific needs and demands of various systems, workloads, and deployment scenarios
- Conduct deep-dive analysis into firmware and software implementations, identifying security vulnerabilities and optimization opportunities.
- Work closely with multiple technical teams to support system solutions from a security standpoint.
- Engage in security-oriented software and hardware modeling frameworks to predict and mitigate risks.
- Lead collaborative security initiatives across diverse teams to implement best practices and innovative solution
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Several years of experience - computer architecture and system architecture with a focus on security.
- Experience in designing secure systems and protocols.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages, such as C/C++, Python, or other HW development languages.
- Familiarity with debugging techniques and methodologies; hands-on experience with server systems.
- Understanding of encryption standards and secure communication protocols.
- Experience with various OS environments and multitenant systems.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Graduate candidate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or EECS is preferred.
