The Role: 

Program Manager responsible for the completion of complex engineering operations, many which are cross departmental. The Program Manager will be involved in the development and the deployment of the state-of-the-art technologies for the variety of AMD Programs. As the Program Manager, you will work with all of the cross-functional Disciplines to ensure the effective and efficient execution of AMD's High Speed Fabric programs. The successful candidate will be a strong project manager with high tech industry experience to include: 

Strong communication and leadership skills, both written and oral 
High attention to detail and good follow through in a fast-pace environment 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, plan, and drive engineering program plans based on senior technical guidance and involving multi-component environment (AMD IPs, SOCs, HW, SW, FW)
  • Provide program management leadership to technical teams spanning multiple disciplines/geographies.
  • Craft, lead, and continually improve program-level processes and methodologies.
  • Identify and manage program dependencies, issues, and risks.
  • Engage with internal and external partners in product planning, development, and validation activities.
  • Align and manage program deliverables.
  • Coordinate team communications and reviews with AMD senior and executive management and customers.
  • Track and report status vs. objectives throughout the lifecycle of the operation.
  • Provide miscellaneous program leadership and support as required. 

Preferred Experience:

  • Proven experience in areas of program management of the pre-silicon, post-silicon, product, and platform engineering.
  • Ability to put a program management practice in a highly distributed multi-disciplinary environment.
  • People skills and quality-first mentality.
  • Experience developing a long-term program plan with periodic deliverables and milestones.
  • Experience using and managing team collaboration tools such as TWiki, Confluence, JIRA, etc.
  • Skilled in MS Office (esp Excel, Powerpoint) & MS Project tool suites, MS Sharepoint, Teams etc.
  • Familiarity with pre and post-silicon concepts 

Academic Credentials: 
BS degree in EE, CE, or CS; MS preferred. 
PMP certification a plus, but not required.
