THE ROLE:

As a Rework Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring product quality by identifying and repairing defects in electronic and mechanical assemblies. Working in a hands-on, production-focused environment, you will use diagnostic tools and technical documentation to troubleshoot issues, perform precise repairs, and restore products to meet quality standards. You will collaborate closely with quality, production, and engineering teams, contributing to continuous improvement efforts while maintaining accurate repair records. This role offers the opportunity to develop strong technical skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where attention to detail and craftsmanship are highly valued.

 

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and thrives in a technical repair environment. You have strong problem-solving skills and enjoy diagnosing and resolving complex issues. You bring excellent manual dexterity and take pride in performing high-quality, precise work. You are a team player who communicates effectively and adapts quickly to new tools, technologies, and processes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect, test, and diagnose product defects using various diagnostic tools and techniques
• Perform soldering and de-soldering, replace defective components, and reassemble equipment
• Document repair activities, including parts used, time spent, and repair findings (RMA processes)
• Collaborate with quality, production, and engineering teams to resolve product issues and implement improvements
• Verify repairs meet quality standards, specifications, and technical documentation (IPC, J-STD)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including proper care of tools and equipment

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with soldering and de-soldering techniques
• Knowledge of through-hole and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) components
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
• Experience using diagnostic tools for troubleshooting electronic or mechanical assemblies
• Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC and J-STD
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving experience in a manufacturing or repair environment

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Technical certification or training in electronics, manufacturing, or a related field preferred
