The Role:
As a member of this team you will ensure the performance requirements of the silicon and the cost requirements of the product are met through the integration of silicon, package and platform electrical design. Packaging Signal Integrity also provides design support to engineering design teams for both current and forward-looking product development and feasibility studies. The Person:
The ideal candidate has the ability to communicate effectively and work in close collaboration with others in AMD as well as with AMD's customers to ensure optimal engineering design decisions and efficient problem solving. You can collaborate and work harmoniously with others, while maintaining the ability to work independently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Analog Design Engineer to join our innovative team. Your contributions will drive advancements in cutting-edge analog and mixed-signal technologies.
- Design and develop custom analog integrated circuits tailored to project-specific requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including architects, hardware, and firmware engineers—to translate feature requirements into optimal analog design solutions.
- Implement and verify Register Transfer Level (RTL) designs for digital components within mixed-signal systems.
- Perform simulation, modeling, and analysis to ensure compliance with performance and reliability specifications.
- Generate comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports, validation results, and test summaries.
- Support validation and debugging of analog and mixed-signal circuits during development and post-silicon phases.
- Drive continuous improvement of design methodologies, tools, and workflows.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and share best practices from industry experience.
- Deliver detailed specifications & documentation
- Develop circuit schematics and work closely with layout designers to drive designs to completion (including physical verification and backend/reliability flows)
- Drive design and layout reviews to ensure quality of deliverables and mitigate overall risk
- Work closely with various disciplines (e.g. Layout, Logical Design, Physical Design, Firmware, and Design Verification) to ensure successful cross-team engagement and high-quality execution
Experience & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in analog circuit design and integration, preferably in commercial or industrial applications.
- Strong expertise in RTL design and verification, with a solid understanding of digital design principles.
- Proficiency in circuit simulation tools such as SPICE, Cadence, or equivalent EDA platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate digital and analog components effectively within mixed-signal environments.
- Proven track record of working in interdisciplinary teams and delivering high-impact solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
- Must be a self-starter, able to drive tasks independently and efficiently to completion

Academic Credentials:
