THE ROLE:

Join AMD's Emulation and Prototyping Methodology team to contribute to innovative solutions for next-generation products. Work on advanced hardware/software tools that improve RTL validation, debugging, and accelerate product readiness for pre-silicon and post-silicon validation. Collaborate across teams to develop strategies and automation that enhance efficiency and productivity.

THE PERSON:

You have strong problem-solving skills and can develop efficient solutions for complex challenges. You learn new concepts and technologies quickly and seek opportunities to improve processes. You communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and are committed to achieving project goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with global teams to implement methodologies that optimize emulation and prototyping environments and support time-to-market objectives.
  • Apply knowledge of platform capabilities to resolve technical challenges in infrastructure, design implementation, firmware, and software workloads.
  • Research and integrate new technologies to enhance pre-silicon validation efficiency.
  • Partner with vendors to define, qualify, and deploy platforms that meet performance requirements (compile time, runtime, capacity, test execution).
  • Integrate and bring up verification interfaces such as PCIe, memory device models, UART, JTAG, I2C, USB, and Ethernet.
  • Deploy ML/AI applications to scale emulation demands.
  • Collaborate with EDA vendors to incorporate advanced technologies into development processes.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with at least one leading EDA vendor's emulation or prototyping technologies (Veloce, Palladium, Protium, Zebu, HAPS).
  • Knowledge of CPU/GPU architecture and protocols such as PCIe, DRAM, Ethernet, AMBA, and CXL.
  • Experience in RTL design, verification, and embedded firmware/BIOS.
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog, C++, Perl, or Python.
  • Familiarity with transactors and C-DPI methodology for emulation environments.
  • Experience using waveform analyzers (Verdi or Visualizer) and embedded code debug solutions.
  • Understanding of hybrid emulation technologies.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
