THE ROLE:

The Senior Product Development Engineer is a key technical contributor responsible for advanced product development, platform validation, and board‑level bring‑up and debug. This role partners closely with design, architecture, validation, and product engineering teams to drive high‑quality solutions across the full product lifecycle.

You will act as a technical authority, solving complex, high‑impact engineering problems that directly influence product quality, schedule, and cost.

THE PERSON:
A successful candidate must be able to drive technical decisions independently and demonstrate advanced, hands-on technical competency in specialized engineering domains. The individual has full accountability for the accuracy, reliability, and completeness of technically critical deliverables and must be capable of influencing high-impact technical decisions across multiple products or product lines, particularly in areas of test program development, design verification, and system-level debugging.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define design, verification, and validation strategies.
• Support platform and board‑level design activities, including:

• • Schematic review and guidance
  • Board bring‑up planning and execution
  • Power, clock, reset, and interface debug

• Lead system‑level and cross‑silicon debug, resolving complex functional and performance issues.
• Execute and improve design verification and validation, including coverage analysis and gap closure.
• Develop and maintain test infrastructure, automation, and scripting frameworks using Best Known Methods.
• Drive adoption of new test, validation, and debug methodologies to mitigate product risk.
• Identify and lead product improvements to improve quality, yield, and reliability while reducing cost.
• Provide technical leadership and influence decisions across multiple projects and product lines.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience owning technically critical projects in platform development, design verification, or product engineering.
• Strong understanding of platform and board design concepts, including board bring‑up and hardware debug.
• Hands‑on experience with system‑level debug across hardware, firmware, BIOS, OS, and drivers.
• Proficiency in Cadence Design Systems EDA tools and automation using Python, or similar scripting languages. 
• Solid foundation in computer architecture, including processor, memory, and HW/SW interactions.
• Experience applying statistical analysis to quality and reliability issues is a plus.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related technical disciplines.
