Senior Technical Engineer- System PnP 

 

THE ROLE: 

The focus of this role is to plan, build, and execute the verification of new and existing features for AMD's graphics processor IP, resulting in no bugs in the final design.  

 

THE PERSON:  

You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/timezones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Engineer with 8 to 12 years of experiences on workload performance engineer
  • Familiarity of Performance benchmarking of Linux & Robotics platforms.
  • Have 5+ Years of experience in Robotics Domain
  • Knowledge of computer hardware architecture (CPU/APU, x86, PCIe, memory) with a focus on what drives performance
  • Robotics software architecture (ROS, etc..) with a focus on what drives performance
  • Understanding of modern x86 microprocessor architecture and Server platform architecture is highly desired
  • Proven ability to work across teams
  • Working multiple concurrent projects
  • Familiarity with programming / scripting language (C/C++, Python, Perl, ...)
  • Experience presenting technical topics
  • Working knowledge of Server OSes and hypervisors (Linux, Windows Server, VMware, KVM, …)
  • Forward thinker that drives improvement to development process, code architecture and fosters a spirit of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Strong Team player

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  

  • Test plan and test development experience for a range of industry workloads
  • Debug skills at the system level
  • Debug skills at the SOC level
  • Working knowledge of container environments

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:  

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
