THE ROLE:

We are looking for a motivated and passionate individual to join the Supply Chain Transformation team as an MTS Software Applications Eng. The Supply Chain Transformation team is responsible for introducing opportunities of automation in our planning system, implement enhancements, drive projects to closure and facilitate testing of the solution as we deploy the code changes in our Production environment. In this role, the candidate will be able to learn about the business processes surrounding supply chain planning like parts, BOM management, Supply and demand, capacity, yield, forecast and build heuristics dashboards to measure, monitor and analyze data and system processes. The candidate will interact with internal customers, external suppliers and vendors, business partners and most importantly with our planning users. The candidate will be working in a very positive, challenging and learning environment as they achieve their goals.

THE PERSON:

As the job requires technical and functional skills, the candidate for this role must be willing to learn and be passionate about technology as well as business processes surrounding planning for finished goods and components and manufacturing processes for all different AMD products. The candidate should have strong oral and written communication skills as they have to manage projects, talk to our external partners, suppliers, vendors and internal customers. The candidate should possess relevant experience as a business systems analyst in gathering requirements, writing test scripts, documenting functional specs or managing projects. Basic understanding of the planning concepts, understanding of BOM, supply, demand and capacity data and processes is also preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be a team player and work with business teams from different business units.
  • Ability to develop computer programs, test them in an integrated environment, move program codes from development instance to QA instance to production instance, debug issues etc.
  • Passionately learn Operations and Supply Chain Processes and features of packaged software applications that will be used to automate the process and leverage this knowledge in long run to provide solutions.
  • Chair meetings with our external partners, suppliers and vendors and internal customers and IT teams as needed and be an interface between the teams.
  • Documents business requirement specification, test plan, test scripts accurately and effectively.
  • Perform end to end testing of planning processes in systems to ensure solution delivered to end users meets business requirements and bug free.
  • Support Project management team on the execution of the project as an analyst in the lifecycle of the project from requirement gathering, design, test and production go-live.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Hands-on expertise in database querying (SQL, Snowflake)
  • Programming in languages like C#, Java, or Python. Familiar with web development.
  • Experience working in SQL Server or Oracle, Familiar with Database designs, stored procedures, performance tuning etc.
  • Experience working in packaged applications like TALEND, databricks, data build tool (DBT) etc. either as an IT support personnel or as a Business Systems Analyst.
  • Usage of GIT hub.
  • Usage of Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in using RPA tools like UI Path.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelors / Master's degree in Information Systems or Supply Chain Management
