SOFTWARE SYSTEM DESIGNER 2 

THE ROLE: 

This is an exciting role in which you will have excellent exposure to all the latest AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) technologies. Imagine yourself as part of the team which will deliver our next generation of our products or automation for many of our reference solutions. This is a phenomenal opportunity to work in an outstanding company like AMD.  

THE PERSON: 

You are a self-starter who is able to achieve successful outcomes in a non-hierarchical environment.  Detailed oriented, you have the ability to multitask through planning/organizing. You have excellent communication and presentation skills and a passion to push the limits of software on innovative platforms. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Work with the leads to understand the testing requirements and test plan
• Responsible for the execution of the test plans
• Automate any of the test cases and test activities that can be automated
• Should possess good analytical skills to help root cause the issue detected during testing
• Should be a good team player
• Responsible for the installation and maintenance of the test harness on various platforms
• Analyze and validate tests results: create reports of test execution, bugs identified, validate bug fixes

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• • Knowledge on any processor architecture
  • Understanding of OS concepts
  • Strong expertise of High-level languages i.e. C and C++
  • Expectation is not to develop code, but should be able to understand the written code and programming logic
  • Knowledge of any scripting languages like Shell or Python is desirable
  • Good knowledge of testing fundamentals (eye for bugs)
  • Knowledge on Machine Learning and DNN is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows OS
  • Good attitude and logical thinking
  • Good oral and written communication skills

   

   

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics/Computer Science Engineering or an equivalent
