THE ROLE:

The Supply Chain Solutions Architect will function as a supply chain planning expert to help design and architect all supply chain planning applications including S&OP, Master, and Factory Planning as well as ATP solution for AMD. Collaborate with individuals across multiple organizations and levels to implement complex business processes and solutions. In addition, the SCM Solution Architect will lead cross-functional teams on global enterprise providing SCM technical strategy, solution design and process transformation initiatives in area of process expertise, delivering defined objectives and business value. You will lead SCM technical strategy by taking the lead analyzing, proposing, designing, and implementing new functionality and solutions within the SCM landscape.

THE PERSON:

This person must have the unique skill set of connecting the dots across domains to be able to solutions architect complex custom features and enable best performance for all the relevant usage scenarios for the customer solution. You will interact with key engineering and management stakeholders for the strategic customers as well as AMD's business team to report progress, align on critical topics and drive action items to closure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Analyzing business requirements around Order Scheduling and backlog stability and translate them into technical solutions
• Define and design processes and solutions to improve backlog stability and work with cross functional teams
• Collaborating with teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of IT systems
• Providing technical leadership and guidance to the team
• Continuously monitoring and optimizing the performance, scalability, and reliability of systems
• Work to create consensus on solution design and processes within and across groups. 
• Effective communication skills 
• Responsible for exploring opportunities to improve product 
• Work closely with other team members to understand design architecture and to propose solutions to improve and enhance products 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Exposure to SAP ATP, Order Scheduling
• Experience running, analyzing, and system benchmarks 
• Solid experience to designing custom solutions around SAP Order Scheduling

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• Bachelor's or Master's in Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a closely related field
