The Role:

AMD's Memory Business Unit is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst to join its dynamic team. This role serves as the primary Memory Analyst for Client, Server, and AECG (FPGAs). The analyst will collaborate closely with teams across Engineering, Finance, Global Operations, Sales Operations, and Sales to develop and refine forecasts. Insights from this role will drive key decisions and strategies, ensuring efficient and effective management of technical commodities.

 

The Person:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical thinking and the ability to synthesize large data sets. They should be dedicated to accuracy and accountability, with excellent critical thinking skills for business planning and risk management. The candidate must be able to perform multiple concurrent tasks under high pressure and tight deadlines. Strong communication and listening skills are essential, along with a self-starter mentality and a positive, can-do attitude.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demand planning, reporting accuracy, scheduling, and weekly allocation aligned with CPU/Server/FPGA sell-in forecasting.
  • Coordinate with Business Unit teams, Finance, Sales, and Global Operations to ensure a business plan that meets financial objectives, balances new product timelines/transitions, supply chain constraints, and customer requirements.
  • Refresh, consolidate, and validate routine reports for accuracy.
  • Build and enhance forecast models for revenue forecasting, monitor demand vs. supply, and address ad hoc issues.
  • Monitor and document market dynamics, including pricing and supply sufficiency.
  • Consolidate vendor roadmaps, EOL schedules, and plans.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to increase usage of internal sales and analytics tools such as PowerBI, Model N, data cubes, and Salesforce.
  • Proactively address ad hoc issues.                                                                  

Preferred Experience:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to build models for business and market analytics.
  • Experience managing critical NPI memory projects for Client, Server, AECG, and other BUs.
  • Expertise in steering forecasting models and working with various data sources.
  • Experience with SAP, PowerBI, Salesforce, VBA, and other business analysis tools.

Academic Credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Finance, or Accounting.
