AMD's Data Center GPU organization is transforming the AI and HPC landscape. THE ROLE: 

In this role, you will be the program leader for key AI platforms from concept to execution. You will work across all engineering and business to meet overall initiative and/or product objectives. Successful applicants will work with AMD's customers, hardware engineers, software developers, business development and sales team to bring to life the world's fastest servers and clusters for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing.  You will be responsible for planning, driving, and reporting on joint product development and deployment with top customers. You will be a program point of contact on all matters related to the program both internally and externally.

 

THE PERSON: 

The right candidate will have solid knowledge of technical program management, engineering, and an outstanding track record of delivering sophisticated software/hardware programs.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Communicates Program status, issues, risk management and recommended mitigation plans to multi-functional  teams. Drive timely resolution of any roadblock.
  • Defining plans and drives projects and program plans based on management and senior technical guidance. 
  • Scope technical feasibility of new Products by clarifying and analyzing requirements with SW/HW Architects, Technical Leads and Engineers 
  • Develop program schedule by considering various Driver, SW Stack components and HW/FW dependencies, negotiate and create a plan that supports the schedule. 
  • Building, creating, and maintaining a well-developed, managed and executed program plan is critical.
  • The successful candidate must also plan for risks in the development path, identify prevention methods, and address them to save on engineering costs.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Proven Project & Program Management experience in dynamic and competitive industry, particularly within Software Development or Engineering based organizations 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Horizontal leadership/Matrix management experience is required.
  • Flexible working schedule to manage global program execution team (Asia and North America emphasis)

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is desired
