THE ROLE:

Step into a high-stakes, high-impact leadership position where you serve as the critical link between cutting-edge engineering and global scale-out delivering the latest in AI server technologies to Mega Data Center Customers and their manufacturers. If you thrive in fast-moving, high-impact NPI work, you'll feel at home here leading a talented CQE team through Concept, EVT, DVT, and PVT. You will collaborate daily with elite engineering teams, global ODM partners, and key customers to solve complex technical puzzles before they ever hit mass production. If you are looking for a role where you can influence the customer experience of enterprise-level hardware and lead a team that is viewed as the key escalation point for driving quality improvements throughout the supply chain, this is your next challenge.

THE PERSON:

We are looking for a technical diplomat who balances an analytical, data-driven mindset with the executive presence to navigate intense stakeholder escalations. You are an empathetic leader who views the career growth of your engineers as a personal success metric. You should be comfortable with "hands-on" leadership; you aren't afraid to dive into failure triage or ask the tough technical questions that drive a project to root cause. Success in this role requires high-level organizational skills, a cool head in fast-paced/high-risk environments, and the ability to build seamless partnerships across diverse functional groups.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Orchestrate NPI Execution: Lead the end-to-end quality strategy for server and rack solutions, ensuring rigorous phase-gate checkpoints and factory engagements.
  • Drive Technical Resolution: Take ownership of hardware failure monitoring and triage, ensuring all engineering build issues are tracked and driven to definitive root cause & corrective action.
  • Strategic Risk Mitigation: Identify system-level quality risks early in the lifecycle, developing robust containment and recovery plans to protect the production timeline.
  • Team Development & Coaching: Build and mentor a high-performing CQE team, setting clear technical benchmarks and fostering a culture of continuous learning and career progression.
  • Stakeholder & Escalation Management: Serve as the senior voice for NPI quality in customer, supplier, and executive reviews, aligning complex build and rework schedules across the supply chain.
  • Operational Handover: Establish and execute clean exit criteria to ensure the Sustaining Quality organization is positioned for success at volume production.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Systems Expertise: Background in electronics design and manufacturing environments, specifically focusing on server and rack-level solutions.
  • Leadership Depth: Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing, customer-facing technical teams.
  • NPI Lifecycle Mastery: Deep familiarity with the transition from concept through PVT and the unique quality demands of each phase.
  • Failure Analysis: Experience with system-level failure triage, FA engagement, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Global Collaboration: Ability to interface effectively with ODM manufacturing partners, suppliers, customers and cross-functional internal teams in an ambiguous environment.
  • AI Integration: Interest or experience in leveraging AI tools to optimize quality workflows and drive measurable efficiency gains.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Desired: BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical/business field.
  • Preferred: MS or MBA degree.
