Sr. PC Board Design Review Engineer (Valor Operator)

 

 

The Role:
AMD Data Center division is looking for a talented and energetic Lead PCB Designer engineer to specialize in design reviews. The suitable candidate will be working on our Data Center products. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and delivering highest quality, High Speed PCB Design projects that are advanced beyond the state of the art, you will be responsible for doing DFM and DFA reviews and ensuring design rule compliance. Developing design rules and processes, and ensuring compliance in a high-volume manufacturing environment

 

The person:
AMD Data Center division needs a lead PCB designer who will be responsible for reviewing and ensuring the highest quality possible on our cutting-edge designs, which is essential to our company's future! A successful candidate will have the drive to review next-generation PCB Designs utilizing the latest in tools and processes; a proven background in design review tools and processes for High-Speed PCB Design and a strong understanding of PCB manufacturing and Assembly is critical for this role.

 

Key responsibilities:
High-Speed PCB Design Reviews

Develop processes and tools to utilize in design reviews.

Strategizing with a variety of teams including, Manufacturing, SI, EMI, PI, Thermal and Mechanical

Development of Design rules and ensuring compliance
Aiding in the development of New Tools and Processes
Support quality objectives of the company


Preferred experience:

Siemens Valor DFA and the development of part libraries

Siemens Valor DFM for PCB reviews

Siemens ERF Development
Proven track record of successful PCB Layout Design in a Cadence environment.

Strong skills in Cadence Allegro 17.4 design suite, In-depth knowledge of Allegro Constraint Manager setup and DRC checking

Strong understanding of PCB manufacturing processes

 

Secondary experience:

Skill Language scripting
Script development for Valor and Valor ERF development
CAM350
Library and footprint creation understanding.

 

Academic credentials:
B. Sc. in Electrical/Computer Engineering is preferred
