Senior Signal Integrity and Power Integrity Engineer

 

Role:

AMD has an opening for Signal Integrity and Power Integrity manager in Server Division. The person will work on further strengthen the server SIPI team capability to deliver system level signal integrity and power delivery network design and customer support for EPYC products.

 

The Person:

As a SIPI engineer in AMD server platform team, you will be directly working with silicon architecture team, package design team, and platform team to influence the design of server products. The main focus will be on system level SIPI design to meet interface timing. Durring post-silicon stage, your will work closely with electrical validation team to do SIPI correlation and provide electrical debugging for both internal and external customers. The person needs to have the experience of below:

  • Understanding of VRM working mechanism
  • Board/system-level power delivery network AC+DC simulation for low-voltage/high-current supplies
  • Understanding of DDR and HSIO system timing allocation and component impact.
  • System-level signal integrity and power integrity understanding including silicon, package, and board.
  • Electromagnetic modeling of 3-D structures.

Qualifications 

  • Candidate must possess a Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent with desired experience in analog/logic validation and characterization
  • Experience with DDR4/5, LPDDR4/5, U/R/LR DIMM JEDEC standards, PCIe4/5/6;
  • Experience with hardware architecture is a plus 
  • 3+ years of experience with component and system level SIPI analysis

 

Academic Credentials:

  • BS or MS in Computer Architecture, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
