Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc. is hiring to Sr. Silicon Design Engineers to Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing, employing knowledge of electronic theory. Definition, design, verification, and/or documentation for ASIC development. Determine architecture design, logic design, and/or system simulation. Debug test failures to determine the root cause. Work with RTL, DV, emulation and post-Si engineers to resolve issues. Define module interfaces/formats for simulation. Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits. Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use. Work in an area of specialization to develop ASIC/layout design, working on problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design,
development, and testing various AMD products.

Qualifications: Degree required
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
Specific skills required: The following skills are required:
Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following:
1.Performing software verification;
2.SOC or system architecture;
3.Scripting in C, C++, or Python;
4.Memory Interface Debugging (LPDDR, NVMe, or UFS);
5.Embedded System Debugging and Core BSP Integration (JTAG, SWD, EUD, TRACE32, or WinDbg);
6.Secure Boot Implementation and Debugging (Arm TrustZone or UEFI); and
7.System Crash Debugging (WinDbg, memory dump, core dump and crash dump analysis, kernel-mode debugging, and call stack evaluation).
