SENIOR SILICON DESIGN ENGINEER 

 

 

 As part of the FPGA timing team, the candidate will be responsible for full chip/block timing characterization at cutting edge process nodes.

This includes owning the timing simulations across corners, QA'ing the data and eventually signing off the timing.

Scope of the role will also include debugging timing issues coming out from silicon validation and interacting with silicon validation teams.

Working knowledge of simulation tools like h-spice, timing tools like Primetime is essential.

Scripting and automation skills in Perl and TCL, and debug capabilities desired.

A basic academic understanding of FPGA design architectures would be useful, although not required.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

A good understanding of timing concepts, technology libraries, parasitic files.

Should be able to debug timing issues and narrow down to specific problems causing the timing issue.

Should be able to plan and work fairly independently with minimal guidance and co-ordinate with cross-functional teams across geographies.

Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

A basic understanding  of ASIC RTL-to-GDS flow and industry EDA tools used in custom and semi-custom implementation of VLSI designs in cutting edge process nodes.

 

Education :

 

Master's/Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering

6+ years of experience in Static Timing Analysis
