THE ROLE:
This role focuses on developing automation frameworks, analyzing telemetry data, and collaborating with internal and external teams to identify and resolve power regressions or estimate the power impact of different hardware and software designs. The candidate will contribute to the architecture, implementation and validation of power measurement tools and dashboards that support projects across different ASICs.

The ideal candidate possesses a technically strong, detail-oriented, innovative and problem-solving mindset, has a keen eye for power attainment, system-level performance, and implications of software decisions in power efficiency, is diligent, and passionate about technology.
A successful candidate will need to employ strong knowledge in computer technologies, be able to make autonomous decisions in technical areas, posses software engineering expertise to develop frameworks to analyze and interpret power data, as well as the ability to perform effectively in an Agile environment while working with different teams of engineers and collaborators across hardware and software teams.
A successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Experience with telemetry, ETL trace tools, and power profiling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Familiarity with video processing pipelines and power-aware software design.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks for power measurement and regression testing.
- Execute power measurement experiments, analyze the results and discuss implications with other software teams.
- Power analysis of new SW features.
- Create and manage dashboards that visualize power metrics and trends.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve power-related issues.
- Analyze telemetry data and ETL logs to identify root causes of power regressions.
- Scale power monitoring across different ASICs.
- Work very closely with dev teams and Project Managers to drive results.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Hands on experience with Video processing (encode / decode).
- Experience in C, C++ and Python, with excellent design and coding skills.
- Experience with ETL trace tools and system logs.
- Familiarity with video codecs, media players and Windows OS multimedia features.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Multiple years of software development experience, preferably in system-level or embedded domain.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
