Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring a Strategic Sourcing Manager to Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships. Develop and implement procurement strategies for IT software spend. Partner with key business stakeholders to understand their requirements and establish an approved vendor list to increase efficiency and reduce cost. Advise end-users on preferred and cost-effective suppliers. Ensure detailed requirements from end-users are available in an appropriate format for efficient sourcing. Conduct strategic pricing and contract negotiations. Conduct market intelligence research and make strategic procurement recommendations. Evaluate and compare supplier metrics such as logistics and cost performance. Maintain a portfolio of premium suppliers and assess supplier availability. Lead contract negotiations and bidding processes for identified opportunities. Partner with legal to ensure compliance of vendor contracts. Develop cost models to determine "should" cost and total cost of ownership (TCO) for supplier negotiations. Analyze information about supplier performance or procurement program success. Address supplier performance issues when required. Keep end-users informed about their requirements, potential risks, and external influences. Identify opportunities for benchmarking.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related Supply Manager/Analyst, Business Analyst, or Procurement Analyst role.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following:

  • Analyzing or managing indirect purchasing or procurement spend in IT or semiconductor industry;
  • Planning and implementing procurement strategies and operations;
  • Executing market research, cost negotiations, competitive bidding, spend analytics, and cost saving strategies;
  • Conducting end-to-end management of sourcing projects;
  • Using SQL for data management;
  • Performing Data Modelling and analytics using C, C++, or Python; and
  • Improving procurement process and activities to drive cost savings, quality, and efficiency.
