THE ROLE:

Client system validation focuses on system solution validation AMD products of Desktop, Mobile and Workstation.  The goal of the team is to ensure AMD APU/CPU product quality before releasing to customers and market and improve customers' experience to lead to a positive sentiment for AMD brand globally.   

We are seeking an System Validation Engineer to lead scenario-driven, end-to-end validation for both commercial and consumer users. You will define and execute smart and data-driven validation strategies, own real-world experiences validation plan across enterprise and consumer domains, drive cross-functional closure to deliver robust, high quality AMD products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and execute test procedures to validate the design of client products
• Define end-to-end scenarios for Commercial (security docking, conferencing & manageability etc.) and Consumer (multimedia & gaming) domains.
• Establish validation quality matrix.
• Synthesize feedback from OEM/ODM partners, enterprise customers, gamers/creators, field/support data, forums/influencers, and telemetry to prioritize validation and product improvements.
• Drive automation, telemetry, and data analytics to scale coverage; create dashboards to track enterprise user experience and consumer QoE trends.
• Drive cross-functional debug to closure.
• Validation leadership and reporting, own E2E planning, execution, risk management, mitigation options, timely escalation and decisions; Deliver clear, executive-ready reports.
• Voice-of-customer and continuous improvement, reduce defects escape generation by generation.

Required qualifications

• BE or Master's degree with 7+ (BE) / 5+ (Master) years in system validation and debug for x86 client/workstation platforms.
• Strong PC architecture knowledge: APU/CPU/GPU, BIOS/UEFI, ACPI/power management (Modern Standby/S0ix), memory, storage (NVMe/SATA), display (DP/HDMI/USB‑C), PCIe, USB/USB4/Type‑C.
• Proven debug across HW/FW/SW/OS layers; ability to influence across silicon, firmware, drivers, OS, platform, and partner teams.
• Excellent communication with fluent written/oral English.
• Validation leadership capability on scope planning, quality gates, risk management, schedule discipline, and driving closure under time pressure.
• Scripting and analytics (Python/PowerShell), log parsing/classification, test automation, dashboarding is a plus.
