Job SummaryWe are looking for a new Central Procurement Manager (Fixed term) employee to be based in Kendal-Castle Mills.
General Purpose:
This role is expected to last about 12 months and the new employee will be responsible for providing direction in the planning, design and implementation of a customers' specific business plans and will provide vision, penetration strategies and tactics to executive managers to develop and drive external and internal senior level relationships. Responsible for analyzing and understanding customers' business strategies, future product plans, expansion activities and align Flex's resources where mutually beneficial and will cultivate and capture new business.
What a typical day looks like:
- Responsible for sales revenue forecasted on FCP/trading deals.
- Establish and align a strategy with internal/external customers on business growth.
- Check and qualify customer base for trading to ensure safe deals.
- Review and perform QBR with customers and develop CRM.
- Build relationship and data review on commodity for CP opportunity with segment/site and GCM.
- Follow up on all business opportunities until complete deal closure.
- Alignment with segment/site, GCM on PPV deals opportunity, escalate, and organize conference call to ensure on time delivery and safe business transaction.
- Support sourcing activity on spot and lead time buy for PPV saving with alignment with GCM and also site excess stock disposition.
- Manage profit margin on budget forecast set for trading business.
- Responsible for payment from customer on trading activity (AR).
- Provide full transparency and visibility to stakeholders on executed opportunity.
- Set monthly communication within team or key stakeholders to set and improve if require on goals.
- Point of escalation to stakeholders on any issue.
Experience/qualification we are looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- About 7 years of related experience in the field of supply chain, including some managerial experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints and also to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Demonstrates advanced functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills. Demonstrates advanced skills in functional/technical area.
- Has the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Exercises independent judgment within generally defined procedures and policies for selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Facilitates team in making group decision.
- Provides direction to teams according to established policies and objectives. Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules. Normally receives no instruction. Demonstrates skills in teaching/leading and/or mentoring.
