Job Summary

Anord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world's largest companies.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Fleet Coordinator located in Castle Mills, Kendal, England.

Reporting to the Transport & Load Manager, the Fleet Coordinator will oversee the company's fleet of vehicles, managing procurement, maintenance, and compliance to ensure efficient and safe operations. You will be responsible for budget management, vehicle upkeep, driver supervision, fuel cost control, GPS tracking, and adherence to regulations. 

What a typical day looks like:

  • Vehicle Management: Procuring, registering, insuring, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they are safe and compliant with legal requirements

  • Cost Control: Managing budgets, minimizing operational costs, reducing fuel consumption, and negotiating with suppliers

  • Compliance and Safety: Implementing and enforcing safety policies, conducting audits, ensuring regulatory adherence

  • Technology and Data: Utilizing GPS tracking and fleet management software to monitor vehicles, analyse performance, and identify areas for improvement

  • Reporting: Analysing fleet performance data and providing regular reports on costs, maintenance, and efficiency to upper management

  • Scheduling regular vehicle inspections, maintenance, and servicing to minimize downtime

  • Maintaining detailed records of vehicle and driver information

  • Developing strategies to improve cost efficiency and reduce environmental impact, such as optimizing routes and implementing fuel-efficient practices.

  • Ensuring all drivers possess valid licenses and are up to date with required training

  • Managing the fleet's assets to ensure optimal utilization and identify opportunities for downsizing or expansion

  • Collaborating with other departments, such as HR and finance, to align fleet operations with overall business goals

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Self-Motivated and organised

  • Accuracy and attention to detail 

  • Be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to interact with other disciplines and work as part of a team or independently as required.

  • Good level of numeracy and literacy skills

  • Proficiency in the day-to-day use of Microsoft based operating systems (Outlook / Word / Excel).
