Anord Mardix have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Manager, based in Kendal OR Preston. As a key member of the business team delivering operational excellence, you will be responsible for leading the plant and equipment maintenance strategy for the complex manufacturing environment, whilst supporting the companies long term growth plans.
You will be responsible for developing and driving the maintenance department's performance to world class standards, ensuring compliance with legislation along with making improvements to safety, quality, service and overall efficiency levels, leading by example to maintain adherence to company policies and guidelines.
What a typical day looks like:
Developing maintenance strategies, managing budgets, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating maintenance activities for production equipment
Maintaining full engagement in performance development across your team and maintain an up-to-date record of all training and development activities/programs
To provide effective and efficient planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance to operations to minimise losses due to any maintenance causes
Supervise maintenance staff and contractors, assign tasks, provide training and mentorship, and manage performance
Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to ensure equipment reliability and facility upkeep
Create, monitor, and manage maintenance budgets, controlling expenses and overseeing the procurement of parts and equipment
Oversee and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks
Develop relationships with and negotiate with external contractors and service providers for major repairs and specialised work
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, generate periodic reports, and document maintenance activities for management review
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
Qualified with a BEng Degree, HND/HNC in an Engineering discipline
Minimum 12 months experience In Maintenance Management/Leadership role
Apprentice trained in a supporting trade (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation and control) would be advantageous
Ability to motivate, lead, and develop a maintenance team effectively
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical fault-finding
Ability to solve maintenance problems using own skills and site knowledge
Must hold a national B Driving License and be willing to travel across facilities in the UK
Must be highly self-motivated
Computer and using different MS software experience
