Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Senior Technical Engineer located in Dundalk, Ireland.

What a typical day looks like:

  • SME for product and components, including training of staff on these.
  • Provide effective, timely and appropriate technical support to all departments from tender stage to final test and commission
  • Handle technical queries from clients and attend meetings where necessary
  • Enhance and support the technical aspects of in house and on-site test procedures.
  • Ensure that technical data presented in Anord Mardix documentation is accurate and up to date
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of Anord Mardix products and processes
  • Highlight process deficiencies within the business and suggest improvements.
  • Provide appropriate feedback when questions arise, internally and externally, in relation to the safety and integrity of product builds
  • Support site services when issues or queries arise on site
  • Contribute to the technical aspects of project submittals
  • Draft technical incidence reports in relation to on site or factory issues
  • Help to source and champion new and alternative components that will improve our products performance and reliability, and lower our cost base in terms of material and labour
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, colleagues and any other associated third parties.
  • Assist with training of new employees in Engineering.
  • Responsible for all other technical duties assigned to you

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Be a degree qualified electrical engineer or an electrician, with at least 5 years' experience working in a similar industry.
  • Experience in EPMS and communication protocols would be an advantage.
  • Have in depth knowledge of the electrical components used in the design and build of switchgear products.
  • Ability to write clear, concise technical documents and reports.
  • Have an understanding of IEC61439 switchgear standards.
  • Understand electrical single line diagrams and schematics
  • Have good communications skills and a positive, professional manner when liaising with clients
  • Strong team member with the ability to identify and drive implementation of innovative quality improvements
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills. Must have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the company
  • Good administrative/organisational ability with high level of attention to detail
  • Eligible to work in Ireland (EU)
