DES is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Mobile Device Unit Specialist. This position analyzes and provides technical support as it pertains to mobile devices or software within the Mobile Device Management (MDM) program.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

All work, including remote work, should be performed within Arizona, unless an exception is properly authorized in advance.

Job Duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Deploy mobile devices and peripherals agency wide timely and accurately. Update inventory databases. Review and sort buyback receipts and certificates for accuracy and compliance.
• Process and complete service requests utilizing both remote and on-site support.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving of devices to/from end users and track the delivery status. Follow-up with end users to ensure devices are received and in working condition.
• Coach end users in proper agency security and responsible use policies.
• Maintain and update end user mobile devices as needed.
• Responsible for device inventory including asset tagging, cleaning, sorting, and charging devices.
• Maintaining the inventory of the unit and organization of agency/divisional assets.
• Review and update use policies.
• Participate in identifying areas for process improvement within the MDM program. Support implementation of improvement initiatives.
• Travel may be required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:
• Mobile devices and wireless technologies.
• The Inter-workings of mobile devices and personal computer hardware and software.
• Principles, capabilities, and operation of networked devices such as servers, PC's , network and communications devices such as workstations and network interface cards.
• Desktop management and monitoring of application management, physical and software security solutions, virus protection, software. distribution, and general version control.
• Current operating systems and applications, including but not limited to Windows 10, Windows RT, MS Office Professional, O365 and network protocols TCP/IP.
• Virtual Machines and Virtual Computing.
• Vendor technologies, applications, and client computing hardware.

Skills In:
• Organization and detail orientation.
• Interpersonal communication.
• Planning, organizing and coordinating complex technical activities.
• Troubleshooting and understanding the complicated integration of hardware and software components to effectively analyze, evaluate and draw logical conclusions and problem solve.

Ability to:
• Learn and adapt to new tools and processes in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical staff.
• Develop and write technical documentation.
• Balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks.
• Work collaboratively in teams and across organizations.
• Synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly
• Build strong relationships inside and outside the organization.

Selective Preference(s):

This ideal candidate for this position will have:

• MCP/MCSE desired.
• Experience with Current/Support Operating Systems including, but not limited to Windows 7/10.
• A+ Certification Preferred.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Associate's degree plus 1 – 3 years of experience in desktop support (or equivalent experience).
• Employee shall obtain and maintain a valid Level One fingerprint clearance card that meets DES requirements for a Level One card pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 41-1969.
• All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).
• Successfully pass background and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency's ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
• This position may require driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, then the following requirements apply: Driver's License Requirements. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).

Retirement:

State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program after a 27-week waiting period. The ASRS defined benefit plan provides for life-long income upon retirement. You will also have the option to participate in a voluntary deferred compensation program to take advantage of tax-deferred retirement investments.
